Vadivel Balaji dies at 45: Aishwarya Rajesh to Shanthnu, South stars pay last respects

Comedian Vadivel Balaji passed away today in Chennai after suffering a cardiac arrest. Aishwarya Rajesh, Shanthnu, Vivekh and several stars took to Twitter to offer condolences.

Many celebrities in Kollywood including Aishwarya Rajesh, Shanthnu, Vivekh, Bala Saravanan and others took to Twitter to mourn the death of popular comedian Vadivel Balaji. The actor, who shot to fame with popular television shows - Adhu Idhu Edhu and Kalakapovathu Yaaru, passed away today ( September 10). Aged 45, his demise has sent shockwaves across the Tamil film industry.

Vadivel Balaji was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai fifteen days ago after suffering a heart attack. The comedian was paralysed after having the heart attack and had been under treatment since then. The actor passed away early this morning due to complication in his health.

Aishwarya Rajesh shared a picture of the actor and expressed her condolence. She wrote, "RIP #Vadivelubalaji (sic)."

Popular comedian Vivekh was in complete shock when he heard the news. He wrote, "The sudden demise of Vadivelu Balaji, who became very popular on the iconic screen, is shocking. RIP (sic)."

Shanthnu Bhagyaraj expressed grief on Twitter. He wrote, "#RIP He has entertained so many of us (sic)."

Vadivel Balaji is survived by his wife, a son and daughter.

Vadivel Balaji had also been a part of few films in Tamil. He was widely appreciated for imitating popular comedian Vadivelu. In fact, this was the reason people fondly called him Vadivel Balaji.
